Back before Tactical Airsoft collapsed, there was a meeting between myself and Elburn of the BattleRagers, and Joe and Scooter of TA(Subba showed up too I think). What was agreed upon was that apparently Spartan Assault(it was right after TA and its allies were horribly beaten by SA) could field large numbers of good players consistantly and that something needed to be done to level the playing field. What was decided was that we would try to develope various land mines, mortars, and grenades. Now Joe had been running a sort of R&D program out of the TA shop(I actually think it was headed by Pain) for a while developing and building several of these things, but they couldnt build fast enough. It was decided that the BattleRagers would set up their own R&D program independant of TA's R&D in the hopes that 1) we could think of stuff Joe and Pain didnt, and 2) with 2 such programs we could put together enough stuff to turn the tide of the war against SA. As you can tell it didnt really amount to anything as shortly after the meeting Joe pussied out and without his leadership TA went under.
Now, the point of my ramblings is that The BattleRagers are thinking of dusting off all of that info and restarting our R&D program, and we figured MAG is going to be discussing grenades, so why not also get land mines and mortars(and other indirect fire artillery) out of the way as well?. We also have plans for a shoulder mounted RPG launcher so i guess we could talk about that as well.
