Zombies
« on: August 19, 2010, 01:15:55 AM »
There's no story behind this, just Humans VS. Zombies.

Okay, so, two teams, Humans and zombies (duh)
You take the humans and do one of two things.
1. Make them hold a position for a certain number of zombie waves.
2. Get from point A to point B alive (only allowed to step off of path a few feet. Zombies have free range over the map)

The rules for one are as follows:
Humans- Humans are given a pistol of their choosing at the beginning of the game. They're are weapons a bunch of different boxes and there is also ammo and various other things in random boxes. (Humans can know where the box is, or not know) Humans are given only one mag at the start of the game. Also mags can only be filled up to a realistic amount (no speed loaders as well). They hold a position for a certain number of waves. They just try to survive.

Zombies- Zombies' only objective is to kill. This is done by placing both hands on a human player. The zombies run on a modified version of vitals. kill shot's are head and neck: 1 shot. Chest: 3 shots. everything else does not count. The zombies at first cannot run, but as the waves progress it gets harder for the humans and the zombies are given power ups. Such as the ability to run or take more hits, or maybe even a suicide zombie with a grenade strapped to him (haha)

Two uses the same rules only the boxes will be on the path somewhere (maybe a little hidden) and the humans only have to get to a certain area.

This would be awesome to do at night on some special occasion, or just for fun and make it a special thing. Or maybe even during the day (it would be way more lame then though.)
I recommend that everyone have some type of full face coverage or a paintball mask, or hard face half mask. (maybe even a shemagh) ONLY low fps guns are allowed. Like, in the 200 fps area.

What do ya think?

This sounds amazingly epic, but what about getting hit in the face? Wouldn't that hurt, a lot? Other than that it looks like a game we should play soon.

That's why he said low FPS guns  ::)
I've always wanted to try a zombie game, now I just need to get myself a pistol of some sort.

Then you will be a zombie mako. I think the humans should also be allowed shotguns, preferably not the gas ones, but like my old tri shot would be great

That's why I said I encourage full face coverage and low FPS, haha, yeah it would otherwise. lol

Humans can use a shotgun, so long as the humans FIND the shotgun in one of the boxes. I have humans start with pistols with limited ammo to create a sense of urgency and fear, as well as make it more fair for the zombies.

I'm also thinking that this could be done over a long period of time with a bunch of groups taking turns as humans and then doing a competition. I wanted to do an OP similar to this, but, I was denied usage of that building (though the owner said we could talk about it on the 22nd of Sept. since they're renovating and getting rid of safety hazards and such)

They're will also be special rules on ammo and weapons. Ammo will be marked for it's respective weapon, so you can't just grab ammo and then use it for whatever. Also, I'm thinking shotguns will be weapons that kill zombies in one hit. And they're will be special ammo and a variety of things I don't wanna talk about on the forums as I still have a slight shot of getting that building. So yeah, feel free to suggest anything else guys  :)

You're going to serve our country next year and you can't use the right "There/Their/They're"?
Anyways, I think it would be cool if we outnumbered the humans, in a ratio of 2:1.

Haha, oops, also you think that there aren't soldiers who don't know the difference? haha!
Anyways, I plan on having a group of like four humans, everyone else is a zombie.

So, my question now is can we try this sometime? Like, set up a date to do this as a night game? (this is mostly a question to you Fish)

good luck with the FPS thing, I have met resistance trying for 250, and even 300 for close quarters stuff.

Well, all the guns have to be approved first.

Let me clear something up. No one is going to be using any other weapon of their choice, other than the pistol they choose (which must be in the acceptable range.) All other weapons are picked by me, and have to meet my requirements. All the guns that can be found in the boxes are the only other weapons that can be used, and are donated by people willing to do so. A player that tries to use his or her primary gun will NOT be allowed to do so. Players at the beginning ONLY are allowed the pistol of their choosing ONLY if it falls in the appropriate fps range. So basically it's a way to control the fps and make the game as safe as possible.

you miss the point,,, resistance was met because not many have a gun, especially a pistol, that shoots less then 200 fps, and even fewer, are willing to open there gun to make it shoot within that tolerance.

Personalty, I would like to see a class of guns that I have taken to calling " zero range weapons" guns that are certified to shoot below a set limit ( i chose 250 ) that have no min engagement range.

No I got the point, I was actually just clearing that part up since I hadn't mentioned it that clearly. But if people aren't willing to adhere to safety rules, they can go home (or they start off empty handed, haha) . It's as simple as that.
