ca m16 moter problems
« on: August 18, 2010, 06:27:46 PM »
Well I used my m16 for one game with a 11.7 lipo and it really preformed well. Then near the end of the day i had to pull out my good ol kwa g36 because what I thought was a dead battry. Come to find out the screws holding in the  grip base had pulled out and the moter was not in far enogh into the gearbox, so I removed the moter and looked for new screws. I found new ones but the ca moter was so dang wide I could barly fit it in the grip but I got in all thogther then tryed it it just clicks soulnds like the moter moving and hitting to side of the grip.  The moter works fine, but I tryed a jg moter to make sure same deal. the new screws hold it tight, but the ca grip seems to tight to allow the moter to move up with the wires in there.

Fact is somthings wrong any thoughts would be nice.

11.7v li-po? No such thing, I assume you mean 11.1v li-po in which case you shouldn't use that with a stock CA, you'll rape that gearbox with that battery.

But about the motor, you're just installing the motor wrong, wires are getting pinched between the inside of the pistol grip and the motor which is why it seems like its hard to get in there, and the clicking is because the motor is jammed to far up in there and can't turn the gears over.

There's your problem.

After selling pics of Joker on his boat in his driveway on EbaY, the vehicle is fixed for now, so I will be out to play

its 11.1 and it has upgraed gears and piston set.  So I fed the wires along the frount and back of the grip along the ridges I will have to see on meachbox.com i suppose, thanks.

Where did you put the WD-40? It's not a good idea to use it, if it gets to your o-ring it will dry it out and deteriorate it.  Use 100% silicon to lubricate the piston and tappet plate slots, and white lithium grease for the gears.  Try adjusting the motor height.  OR just give it to some one that knows what to do, and can look at it.

if i could i'd like the have someone work on it.. I used wd 40 on the gears, I am going to take it all down and regrease it tonight. I have worked in my m4s gear box and use meachbox.coms videos as a guide so I do not mess up when I am taking it down.  I have messed with the motor height alot, the piston is locked back so I need to take it down or try somthing new to fix this.

Then use semi...the trigger response is epic.

I <3 my 20 round mags...they add a new level of difficulty and realism to the game.

I love mine I used em that time and loved reloading plus it fources you to aim more and know your targets.

Anyways,  I tought it was fixed everything was fine after replaced the piston and fixed the wire, after i closed it up the gears spun and the air nozel was springy. I hooked it into my reciver and tryed it nother but a clicking, messed with moter height  but nothing battry gets kinda warm abd triggermoves fine but nothing. I un connect it and now the airnozel will not budge  i am thinking trigger meach now.. I am tempted to buy a new kwa gearbox for it anyways, its seril number 1182 so its an old gun and probley could use a new gearbox.

Why would the trigger mech interfere with the air nozzle? Check to make sure you didn't plug the terminals in backwards on the motor, could be something as simple as that. If the battery is getting warm its because the motor can't do what its suppose to properly for whatever reason and causing it to put more load on the battery causing it to heat up, could also be that short you had in your wiring...I would just simply re-wire it, then make sure your bevel gear height is proper in the gearbox and everything is shimmed right.

right rewireing is what it needs ether way maybe the moters not getting enough power to turn the gears. I would have you rewire it if I could come up more often
