He wasent hiding, we were actually getting our stuff back on to go out to our next mineral deposit after being special VIP's. We then took off maybe 3 minutes after the bounty was called. Plus, you all went the wrong way :P after this there was a RUDE confusion. People need to learn some patients, and trigger control.. but It was a little bit before anyone got him ;P

They put a 6mil bountey on Des's head and for like ten mins he hid in the CP tent before he took off running throuh the swap. i took off running behind him. Fishman was laughing his head off.

Hahahahaha! I think it was actually 7mil though. I came back from being dragged by Rico and few others after calling in that we were a downed VIP party. I got back to CP and put some stuff in the tent then came out and Bish told me: "You better start running boy, you've got a bounty!" I was just like ... dammit. So I got my stuff back on in the tent, waited for like a minute til' no one was looking, and ran like hell into the swamp! Hahaha!

hmm,, seems a post i made or at least i thought i made a few hours ago isnt  here. Ill try to recap what i said.

This Op was a cut down version of the original. I felt that for the first run allot of things had to be removed and or altered for simplicity. Now after having run this with such response, the next game will be a modified full blown version of what i originally written like 20 years ago hehehe. Bet most of you didn't know how old this idea really was did ya?

I completly agree that the merc should not have been allowed to make deals with bountys, and i wasnt expecting them to team up as much as they did, They were suposed to be in compititon, and this made things a bit tough for Gt to keep up, competing with a force tecnicaly twice there size for money. But i never heard a word of complaint form them, they never gave up and from what i saw had a Blast reguardless. And they did exactly what i thought a merc team should do, Operate alone to the highest bidder. ( not that i am saying the other 2 teams did anything wrong, just they didn't do what i expected them to do, but then again, that is the beauty of the open ended LARP game.)

as far as the bounty's and ore prices. technically you never know how much what you got is worth til ya have it, and with ore having various different prices, i think that part of the game was just fine. But next time the values of what is available will go from small to large, instead of just random off the list. We did get a little crazy with the bounty as the day goes on, be we were having so much fun we just got carried away, and next time there will be a equal reward to the bounty for surviving to increase motivation to try to survive the hour then split the money on a deal. They will have 1 half hour to make it to the cantina to collect there survival reward. and we will put a cap on it.

as far as the fines go for taking a village, all prizes got bigger as the day went on and more money was coming into play, Not increasing the fine/reward for taking or loosing a village was a oversight that will be corrected next go round as well as a few other lil issues. This what not the original way i was going to handle it. ( see below )

I like the idea of the running tally at the cantina of the total accumulated value but i also in the back of my mind feel not knowing where you sit keeps you striving for more, more then knowing you are 5 mil ahead so screw it we don't have to work so hard. I will think on this a bit and see if i can put it into the game in a way i feel its proper.

some of the alterations next time will be.

Actual ore that must be brought back, and can be stolen wile in transport, and a price negotiated with the bank that will fluctuate like the stock market, Doing it this way is much more difficult to play and even to run, so it was left out this first run.

Mercs will be scripted enemy's of one another.

Originally, a bounty that was collected would be placed in jail for a set time, and then released, Complete with some form of Fake charge as a reason for the bounty. The team could bail them out for game cash at any time.  This op was not originally written as a fund raiser, but i think we adjusted it to one well, so i think i will alter the original plan a little and make the prisoner bailable with real cash, or a obscene amount of game cash. Also originally, the whole bounty system was player based, one player would place a bounty on another player alleging a offense. ( and had to put the money up for it ) The advantage here is being able to take certain players off the field for awhile to give you a tactical advantage, for awhile.  Elements of this will make the next game, and i think i will allow more bounty's at once, but keep them balanced so many for each team.

Also originally there were 6 Villages planned for this event, but it was reduce to 3, then 2, then increased to 3 again. I feel for our field, this is the proper amount, However next year, alpha will not be the third base, it was chosen because it is a fortress, and the only other base that is as strong as the other 2. we will have to build up LZ I think to make that a decent base.

Also originaly, each base had a "lease" the cost of loosing your base was literally loosing it,, forcing you to start over in a new location that you had to pay for the right to use at the cantina. better bases naturally cost more. When this was written i had many built up bases on the field it was written for ( also the reason 6 was the original village number ) The prize for winning the base was obtaining the lease, and the right to maintain and use as a second or third, or being able to sell the lease back to the banker. this causes the cost of bases to increase each time they change hands. there is allot more to this system, but im not getting into that here.

I am always open to suggestions, But i also have a very defined idea of what i am trying to do, so sometimes not all suggestions are accepted, but don't let that stop you from making them. I know i plan the shit out of these events, but also know  I overlook things sometimes that must be pointed out or discovered during play.

it would have been nice to have had our village leader on our side Butcher left us for 50,000!!!!! then on top of that we lost a support gunner so he could be a friggin merc. Overall everyone in village two was Charlie Company Alpha Squad and We fought with Pride and I am very proud of my men. To those who left us for other teams don't expect my team to trust you next time we play traitors!!! and those who got shot and were not honest about it you didn't really make a good first impression!

First off, thank you to CCAS (Don't feel like typing out charlie company alpha squad...lol) for showing up. Nice meeting you all, and you did well for your first time.

However...the game was meant to be open ended, and that's exactly what it was. Merc teams did exactly what they were supposed to do: Fulfill contracts and go with the highest bidder. You will notice that we (merc squads 1 and 2) never once bailed on our contract to go with a higher bidder. Once we completed the contract, we simply went on to the next one. That's the way it was meant to be played. Although, I do feel somewhat like a jerk for knife-killing everyone in Kyles Base...3 times.  :-[ ;)

Everyone at some time or another will be accused of not calling hits, and everyone at some time will accuse another player of not calling hits. Its airsoft, it happens. If you believe someone is not calling hits, by all means speak with a moderator after or during the game and we will do our best to resolve the issue.

Wolf, I saw you standing there trying to look innocent...but the fact that you didn't have a kill rag on gave you away. Valiant effort though ;D
