Zombie invasion plan?
« on: July 25, 2010, 10:45:45 PM »
O.k. So I know most likely it will never happen, but me and one of my friends have been talking a lot about our own zombie invasion plans, just cause we're bored and have nothing better to do on a sunday night. His is something like going to canada where "the zombies would freeze and I'd be safe" I'm thinking more local and going to L.L. Bean in freeport, I mean yeah it's got those giant front door windows but still it has everything you would need in an invasion, tons of guns, food, clothes, everything, it even has a fish pond that you could possibly sustain.  As you can probably see I've put a lot of thought into this, but I like to read and write a lot and the topic of Zombie's is just fun to read about and write about. so Yeah whats you're survival plan?

I'm just gonna wing it, when shit hits the fan, the plan is always not going to work.

Mainly you should just avoid the living dead as much as possible, and have a few weapons, then you can gather supplies later.

Thankfully it'll never happen, probably...

Raid the nearest gun store first, grab as much food and water as possible, then head to Ghosts house.  ;D

Raid the nearest gun store

PROBLEM: Every redneck and his or her mother within 150 miles is thinking the same thing. The proper course of action would be to already have those supplies, and be ready to execute the next stage of your plan. Travel, at least during the initial stage of the apocalypse, will be ill advised. There will be widespread panic, looting, and general chaos. The safest option is to barricade yourself in with your supplies and family, at least temporarily...until the outside world quiets down a bit. Lay low, try to avoid all contact with zombies, and wait it out. Once everyone else (or at least most of them) is dead, you will want to load up your high-capacity vehicle (SUV, Truck, whatever you choose) and take the back roads to a predetermined location somewhere up north in the wilderness. Avoid high-population areas and all but the smallest towns altogether if at all possible. Stop only for a short period of time, and only grab whatever useful items you can find. Once you arrive at your destination you will go and dig up the supplies you had buried for just such an occasion, and once again barricade yourself in your reinforced log cabin/small bunker/treehouse.

Now tell me, WHO'S thought a lot about this?

After selling pics of Joker on his boat in his driveway on EbaY, the vehicle is fixed for now, so I will be out to play

I wouldn't need to raid a gun shop, but i would need ammo.

I My cousin has his pilots license and ,e and our family would probably fly to one of the thousands of small islands in the gulf of Maine.....yes, there is a gulf of Maine.

I think if you were alone the best method of travel would be through the woods (assuming only humans are affected, god help us all if it turns out otherwise) Since the undead will be in the mostly populated areas, and using a vehicle, while fast, would bring about some unwanted attention. So I would just fill up a nice rugged bad with supplies, grab a map and compass, and see what happens. I have a feeling that I'd have to raid a house or two on the way to Red's cabin  ;)

step 1, grab weapons, ammo, food, clothing and other gear.

step 2 attempt to get in touch with the people i care about surviving and or any hot non zombie chix i know.

step 3 Aquire a plane at the auburn municipal airport. ( i might not have a licence, but i can fly, and even more importantly,, land.)

step 4, fly up into the great north woods and set up a perimeter of lethal mantraps and dead falls.

Step 5, begin repopulation.

Simple:

1. Raid Red's house for weapons

2. Raid Joker's house for cookies and other food supplies

4. Fly to Hawaii and pretend nothing happened =)

You had to say "raid". If you had said "politely ask if there were any weapons he could spare" we wouldn't have an issue. Now we got a problem: I don't like being raided. You just bought yourself a one-way ticket on the hurt wagon kiddo.
