Just cancel you order and get somthing else. If you deadset on a G3 see if who ever you buying from has a Classic Army one. It will be a bit more money but it would be worth it.

I think I'll wait it out. Shouldn't be too long before it comes back in stock. Besides, I need boots and something to carry gear in.

Well, I finally got my stuff. I got impatient and changed my order to a JG HK416. I've got a few questions, since I don't know much about the airsoft stuff, even though I've done quite a bit of research.

Question #1- how accurate is my gun? I did some target shooting with my new rifle, firing at targets 150' and 200' away. I noticed that the accuracy is terrible compared to my actual rifles (which is all I have to compare it to). It's got about a 2' grouping at 150', and a 3' grouping at 200'. Is this bad? Seems like It'd be really hard to hit people using semi-auto, since the shots have such a distance apart from each other.

Question #2- Why do people wind their mags while they shoot them? My rifle came with 3 300 round mags, and I noticed that if I wind them up fully, it will continue to supply me with BB's until there are no more left in the back of the mag, without me having to re-wind the spring.

Question #3- I don't have much tactical stuff. Do you guys think it's a total necessity to be wearing a vest and combat boots, and all that groovy stuff? Or would it be fine if I show up wearing cargo pants and a camo sweatshirt (as long as I have the necessities like eye protection, ect.)

#1 Thats not terrible accuracy for an airsoft gun, but ive seen much better. Put a new barrel and hop up in there to improve that kinda performance
#2 People do that so as they shoot they get more bbs fed so they dont have to wind later, i personally hate hi caps..
#3 Tactical stuff definetly isnt needed, but things like vests help to carry your stuff around. And I wear cargo pants anyways and it doesnt make much a difference depending on the color. People overtime just accumolate loadouts for MILSIM games or if they just wanna dress as that type of soldier

#1- That's pretty much a JG for you, although it isn't too bad. A really bad accuracy would be a five feet grouping, good grouping would be under a foot (atleast that's what I go by). It may be good to look for upgrades in the future.
#2- Some mags need more winding than others. The 416's may be different than others, but when it comes to M4 mags, you may get 10-20 rounds off until winding is needed. When it comes to low quality mags or mags that require more winding, people wind them while firing to supply themselves with more BB's quickly.
#3- Tactical gear is all up to you. If you don't wanna get any and you feel you don't need any, thats fine. But, it will definately aid in your gaming. Such as vests, for example, will provide easier convenience for things such as mags, radios, and speedloaders. I'll give you a short list of tactical gear to look into:
MOLLE Vest- Provides great custom vests to your liking. You can get good ones for around $40, and then buy any pouches that will fit a MOLLE set up that you want.
Pads- I find the need to have pads a lot, especially when I accidentaly smack my knee on a rock or hit my funny bone on a tree (lol)
Camo- Really explanatory, although I also use cargos at the moment with a m56 jacket.
Gloves- Helps take the sting off of your hands if you get hit and also helps with going through thorns, etc.
Shemaghs- Helps protect your face from BB's, keeps the sun off of your neck, keeps leaves, etc. from riding down your neck, and protects your teeth.
Helmets/Hats- Helps conseal your head, also protects the top of it, works for swatting bugs, etc.
As for boots, I just use hunting boots, I feel no need to get really specific with boots

#1: Decent, you'll be able to touch people with that, trust me.
#2: People do that if they haven't wound their mag all the way up til' you hear the clicking sound, if you hear that you won't have to wind it anymore.
#3 Nah, not really, I like it (and I'm sure you would) and it can be very useful, but it isn't an essential.

My turn...

1.) Its an airsoft gun...its a smoothbore shooting lightweight plastic pellets at a fairly low speed. It will never have the accuracy or range of a real rifle. That's pretty decent for a stock JG.

2.) If someone is too lazy to completely wind all their mags ahead of time, they just wind as they shoot.

3.) You can show up in a jogging suit for all I care.

After selling pics of Joker on his boat in his driveway on EbaY, the vehicle is fixed for now, so I will be out to play
