5/16- Heavy rain
« on: May 16, 2010, 07:12:22 PM »
Today was pretty epic. First game went kind of slow for anybody who was in Bravo, but after Kyles and CP2 were taken over, the forces came and really annihilated us. There were a total of 3 AEG's and 4 snipers defending the area, which lasted about 5 minutes. The game ended not long after, and we continued into the second game. I was gaurding Fishman, along with 4 or 5 others. We lost Hobo as we left the bog, and we continued onto Stovetop, where we met up with Wolfpack. We put up a good fight, but eventually lost after a flanking maneuver. After our leader was killed, we went to respawn, and moved to Kyles where we realized we had walked right into the middle of several squads. The third game didn't go too well; it was in favor of the USMC, especially with the starting locations. During that round, we had FC do some filming and lots of simultanious shooting into a puddle. Then we had some rubber knife fights to finish it; and it was very entertaining to watch. All in all, great OP.

yeah today was great. The first game was pretty exciting for me actually. I was at Kyles base the whole time defending. The US and i think Spetsnaz made two attempts to take it. The first we pushed them back to ravenwood, then they regrouped and charged us. Like me, most of the team had gotten down to there last few rounds. But thankfully Raven gave me an extra midcap which helped a ton. We eventually lost the vile in Kyles however, but we put up a strong fight.
The second game of VIP was good, but didn't like it as much as the first part. Me, MGunner, and Riot were in charge of defending Destrudo. But due to mis communications, we weren't able to stay hidden in our secret lair. I was hit, followed by Riot and Mgunner, but some how they missed Destrudo and that was a big plus for us.
After respawning at charlies, i met up with a small squad and we went to check out what happened to the VIP. We saw nothing, just a few hit players.
I went back to the UCLF respawn to hopefully catch some friendlies. I met up with a kid with a G3, I don't think he had a callsign. We headed down towards CP and came up on what we thought were hit players, but it turned out to be alive Moose, Mugsley, and i think Savage. SO yeah got shot....went to respawn, and started to wander through the woods for like 45 minutes without anyone with me, and i circled back up towards Alpha and heard gun shots. And whence i got up there, i met up with everyone, excluding Hollow Tip, Ghost, and Destrudo.
We then went to Kyles base, set up there, and were immediately surrounded by the whole US and Spetsnaz forces. But in our favor, the game ended as we were clinging onto the walls.
And I filmed the last game, footage should be up in a bit (un edited). INCLUDING: Fighting for the bomb pt. 1 + 2, shooting the stream, and knife fights.

What a day. It was good to be back at the old stomping grounds. I had a really good day. Thanks to all the SA staff. It was the least amount of BB's I think I have ever used in a day of airsoft, but it was a great Op. Look forward to the next one.

I had a great time. The first game was my favorite: Spetsnaz was all over the field (as planned) starting and finishing firefights, as well as just generally assisting the USMC team. The second game was fun but a little slow. Once again, I (since the Spetsnaz team got split up into several different locations) walked all over the map looking for the VIPs. By the third game I was pretty tired (by that time I had walked the entire field multiple times), but we still managed to give it one final push and booked it to Stovetop from CP2 to defuse the bomb. It was decided that the game ended too quickly, so we reset and tried again. It took us a minute, but USMC again defused the bomb.

Overall, everyone did a great job. Big thank you to Blackjack and Fishman for writing and planning the OP. Thanks to all the other mods (including Savage for taking most of the day off to be a walking moderator). Thank you to all the teams: I was proud to be a Spetsnaz, USMC did an excellent job of assaulting bases, and was very helpful. UCLF made a formidable enemy, and did very well defending various bases at various times.

Oh...and one other thing that made the OP just that much more awesome was that I got my first low-cap kills (10 20-round magazines...on a 9.6v battery. Semi-auto was my friend ;)).

Thanks again to everyone.

After selling pics of Joker on his boat in his driveway on EbaY, the vehicle is fixed for now, so I will be out to play

Speaking of which, I was shitting my pants in said trench too.

It was uber fun with KWA AEG in my hands.

Started with semi and i was like, eh what the hell might as well use auto before SHTF.

Tool Box, sorry for when i shot you in safety kill range, you jumped the shit outta me.

That trench + ghillie = the best hiding place ever.
