Patience can be rewarding. Always keep an eye on your surroundings when moving, today I was ambushed because I wasn't looking forward enough.

If you're really serious about, and I mean REALLY serious about it, talk to Ghost. He takes on apprentices and trains them, basically you follow him and work together with him.

One thing to keep in mind: Being a sniper is not about perfect marksmanship or killing, it's about stealth, recon, and communication, and sometimes when it calls for it, taking out a target.

Yeah, But the point being, Any player can make a kill, But not every player can ( or will ) crawl and sneak into position, risking his own game life to relay intel back to his team to help insure there suggses. Not every player can look at a target and say with confidance, that target is 130 foot away. And even fewer players are trusted by there  squad to go out and do what they are assigned to do, and not get bored waiting and go do something else.

Being able to make the kill does not make you a sniper, true, it helps to be a good shot, but thee is so much more to it then just being able to take that shot.

Indeed, my older brother wanted to be a quicker sniper and faster moving, rather than being patient and waiting for a better oppurtunity. He did well hiding, but sometimes he moved too much, it causted me and him to be killed at one point. So patience is probably one of the most important things you can have as a sniper

Patience is indeed a great trait, in all things really.  :)

Also, I forgot to include the just before saying "about perfect marksmanship or killing" haha! :)

But, again, talk to Ghost ASAP if you're serious about it.

I've only seen a few snipers who I actually consider just that. I'm not going to give you the armchair warrior bullshit "Stealth and shooting skill" speech, as it isn't what really matters.

Do what you feel comfortable doing, and what you enjoy doing. If you enjoy doing it enough, your skills will develop, and you'll fall into place more easily. Learn from experience. It's called the school of little 6mm welts.

If you turn out to be a fail sniper, like some I've seen, move on to be a rifleman.
