Hey! It's time for the re-write to adjust it for summer play I was told last time that it had a decent chance if we plan it for summer, so let's give it a shot!
PLEASE NOTE : I am writing this as if it is an actual op post, this means it will APPEAR to be a real op, however, at this time it is NOT planned for a date, or even finalized! Thank-You.
OP : Flash
Date : TBA (6/26/10 - 6/27/10 estimate)
Where : Monmouth or Harris
OP : Flash is the first of a multi scenario based storyline.
Scenario and Objectives at bottom of post
Gear, safety, night play and admissions :
Gear :
OP : Flash is going to be an overnight game, so please bring the proper gear, that means multiple articles of clothing...not just one pair of socks. Please follow this list, it is what we are recommending. Your gear is going to be quite important, especially for an overnight game, even if it is in the summer, so I suggest you triple check your gear before you leave for this game.
3x pairs of socks
1x pair of boots TWO are strongly suggested!!
1x medium warmth jacket
3x pairs of pants
4x shirts
1x sleeping bag
1x set of face protection item(s)
2x kill rags
2x flashlights
4x boxers/briefs
Tents, please note, each squad will be responsible for providing ample room for all members. Tents ARE NOT provided and they are brought at your own risk, we are not responsible for any damages to them!! It is suggested that you bring heavier tarps to throw over them for protection, or make your tent from a tarp. You simply must have something over your person, and gear for sleeping.
Safety :
Night time play is much different from day time. This means that all players are required to follow different restrictions than at daytime. If you are at any time (day OR night) seen breaking the rules, you will be ejected from the field immediately and you will NOT be refunded! Please abide to the rules.
Safety Rules :
-ALL standard Maine Airsoft rules are in effect
-ALL players MUST have AT LEAST one flashlight on their person at all times, WITH spare batteries for that flashlight!
-During night play, ALL players must have their glow sticks attached at all times in the correct positions and not covered in any way.
-During night play, SEMI only is allowed, if your gun shoots burst, that is accepted as well, however there is to be NO AUTOMATIC FIRE!! Automatic firing will get you expelled from the field.
ALL players are to use .23 or higher weight BB's during the night, OR have their gun chrono at LESS than 401 FPS. Gun's that shoot above 400 FPS with .23 BB's will NOT be permitted for night play, guns that are allowed to play at night will have to have the players glow stick color attached visibly.
- Night shooting is only allowed during designated times, more info on this below
Night Play :
Night play will only take place at certain times during the night, which will not be available to any of the players until they are to take place, to do this safely we will be using sound devices to awaken all players THREE TO FIVE minutes before any opposing forces are to begin their attacks. We will use multiple devices, air horns, sound grenades etc...all players will be awakened, we guarantee it. One round of devices will be set off, then anywhere from THREE to FIVE minutes after the first set finished, the second set will go off, this means that the attacking forces may now start shooting.
Glow Sticks :
All players will be given glow sticks, this is for safety mainly, we want to ensure that you are not too close to other players so that you don't seriously harm each other, each player will have FIVE glow sticks on them. One on each arm, one on their chest, one on their back, and one on their main gun. This is for safety, it also allows people to better identify each other players team, we will be using 3 very different colors, possibly blue, red, and yellow, but whatever the colors, they will be provided in the game entrance fee.
Admissions :
No players under 16 years of age, UNLESS they are vouched for.
Goggles must be ANSI z.87 rated
IF you are a player under 16 years of age, you are required to wear a full face paintball mask at Dayton, so if this op is at Dayton you must wear one.
$30.00 admission fee if you show up and get your ticket at the game, $20.00 if you pre- register online at least 5 days in advance, YOU must however have your name on the list if you are going to attend, this is so that we are sure to have the correct amount of supplies for all the players.
Scenario, schedule, teams, objectives :
Teams :
This game will have 3 teams
Birkês : 40%
Americans : 40%
Unknown force : 20%
Players on the Unknown force will be appointed, you can apply to be on the team, but you may not get onto it, the team is a special forces team, which needs special players.
Timeline :

11:00 AM : registration/chrono ends and safety briefing begins
==During the 10-11 times, players may NOT enter the field==
Noon : Players enter the field and are escorted to their bases by staff, players must erect bases in this time. This is also lunch. US Forces are not to enter until 1:00 PM!!
1:30 PM : Game starts
7:00 PM : Dinner
8:30 PM : Game starts again
Sunday :
7:00 AM : Breakfast
9:00 AM : Game starts again
3:00 PM : Game ends
Somewhere between Saturday 8:30PM and Sunday 6:00 AM there will be action, but teams will be briefed on this at the actual game.
Scenario :
A US Forces aircraft carrier on it's way back to port in the US for repairs has deployed three US choppers to investigate a supposed terrorist weapons sale that is taking place on an island near the Bermuda Triangle, which is directly in their route. Troops are scheduled to be inserted at roughly 1:00 - 2:00 PM on a Saturday afternoon. As the choppers approach their destination one of the choppers starts to lose altitude, it seems that it has been leaking fuel, it cannot make it back to the carrier and must land soon, the choppers are almost to their destination island, however as they fly over the coast, the chopper that was low on fuel stalls. The pilot and crew are forced to jump out of the chopper to the beach. The other two choppers continue on, the first crew radios in and says that they will wait for pickup from another chopper that will soon be deployed from the carrier to rescue them, and the other two choppers cannot waste any time as they may have been spotted by the terrorists (Birkês).
Objectives :
Unknown Force(s) = UF
Birkês = BF
Americans = USF
USF Objectives :
Capture enemy bases 20 pts per BF base, 30 pts per UF base.
Complete in game objectives.
BF Objectives :
Capture enemy bases 20 pts per USF base, 30 pts per UF base.
Complete in game objectives.
UF Objectives :
Capture enemy bases 25 pts per USF base, 25 ptrs per BF base.
Complete in game objectives.
As you can see from the objectives, there are not many objectives that you know, this is for a few reasons, one being that if objectives for your team are not posted, the other team doesn't know what they are either, which means you have an element of surprise over them in most cases, however most objectives will have time limits, and sometimes the other force will be notified that you may be coming.
More intel will be added if needed, please again note, this is not an actual op yet!
