cold hard bucking/sleeve!
« on: January 17, 2010, 05:46:28 PM »
So it looks like my gun does not like cold weather! I had feed issues today, my gun was working just fine.  NOT a mag issue. I tore it open later today took out the bucking/sleeve. When I did my upgrade I got a two pack of madbull sleeves, and shark buckings. Comparing the two buckings I noticed that they were not the same. One was stiffer and one was softer, rubber/silicone. One had a lip that stuck out to meet the air nozzle, like the stock sleeve, the other sleeve the softer one had no lip, it was just flat.  I used some gun lube cleaned the tightbore, lubed the hop up unit, lubed the bucking, put it all back together (using the softer bucking no lip), got the hop up set where I wanted it, no double feeds, no mis feeds. took out the battery, left the gun outside, for 45 mins, good and cold, fired it back up, still on target, no mis feeds or doubles. SO problem solved,  softer buckings work better in the cold. What is the difference between the lip and no lip sleeve, better air seal?
