Internal Upgrades.
« on: December 07, 2009, 08:49:32 AM »
I know I need a new hop up, but what other kinds of upgrades would be right for my G4?
Wait for it...

I will vouch for that gun. I have used it, in game, and the rifle is a fu*king beast.

Prommy tightbore! Or Madbull Black Python 6.03 if your on a budget. You want to have the best possible trigger response in a DMR so id grab a 9.6 and an AB Mosfet (although the 'fet will be hard to get into a crane stock...) Deans connecters, High speed motor? Diesel? I can't think of anything else

Guns dont kill people, but 7.62mm holes in vital organs do.

Prommy tightbore (if you've got $65 to throw down), or a madbull tightbore, systema bucking, SCS nub, systema area 1000 polycarb piston head, PDI 190% spring, Guarder high torque motor.

- G&G GR-16 R5 (TM EG1000, Guarder Gears, SHS 8mm Bearings, Guarder Cylinder Head, Guarder Air Nozzle, Guarder Tappet Plate, JBU cylinder, JBU spring guide, PDI 170%, Modify Piston Head, X-ring, AWS Raptor FET)

If you wanted to throw the entire order together at ASGI, you could grab this motor...

Should pull that spring back no problem and still give a good rate of fire.

Total for all upgrades: $121.75. Minus the hop up spacer because it is out of stock ::). Maybe I should get these for my Birthday instead of a handgun. How much would it cost me for you to install said upgrades Diesel? Found out I'm not very good at installing internals when it took me half an hour to get the hop up together right.

It took you five minutes...once you asked me for help ;D Ok not really...its always hard to take guns apart the first time. It took me a while to get the hop-up right in my Thompson, but it was worth it.

$20 to swap everything in, shim it up, and give it a relube.

Alright, what other hop up spacer do you recommend since the other one is out of stock?

OK, two final questions. My gun supposedly came with a tightbore, do I still need to buy a new one? And I also just bought a King Arms bucking, do I need the Systema one?

Hmm...haven't really heard much about the King Arm's bucking...they seem to make everything else good, so I can't see why there bucking would be bad...

As for the tightbore barrel...depends on what came in it I guess...I know the older ones use to come with madbull 6.03's and I would guess that the new ones come with ASGI's in house brand tightbore barrel which would translate to decent quality, but not really. It's more like a half ass tightbore and stock barrel mixed together. So just pull the barrel and hop-up unit it out...if its black, it's a madbull black python barrel...thats good...if its silver and very light weight, and made out of aluminum its just a stock G&G combat machine barrel, if its silver but made out of a heavier metal more like stainless steel, its probably an ASGI tightbore.
