Alpha

Alpha has had a lot of issues lately with tempers flaring. It can become a difficult situation to take the base at a safe distance without lighting people up crawling in at close range. We played an attack and defend game 27SEP09 semi only at Alpha with success. I am proposing semi only fire into and outgoing at Alpha to stop the Pray and spray nonsense. This will keep engagements at a managable level. Just a thought.

Sounds good, semi is good for the type of area around alpha, and alpha is a hell of a base to attack.

I'm highly in favor of this, I'll just have to be careful when I'm near Alpha seeing as my P90's semi doesn't work . Actually, should we make a rule for that? If your semi is busted you are allowed to use 3 round bursts? Or would that cause issues?

If your semi is busted, just do your best to shoot semi.

I suggest using survey tape and marking the trees in a circle  around the area in question, then explain in the lecture the colored bands on the tree mark the semi only zone.. No need for costly signs, and it would leave no question as to weather you are in the zone or not.

I think instead why not just make it if you are in Alpha and shooting at an attacking force, or you are outside of alpha shooting at a defending force. It is semi only, if you are in the general vicinity of alpha and fighting for control of the base that would also be semi only.
