What is Airsoft
Evolved from Paintball, Airsoft uses realistic looking replica weapons in military simulations and other games such as Capture the Flag. The Airsoft gun fires a 6mm plastic BB which is designed to hit the target and be felt without leaving any permenant damage. The airsoft BBs are propelled by air, springs, electic motors or pressurized gas.

What should I bring with me to the field:
-Safety Goggles/Glasses
-Appropriate Clothing: BDUs/Uniform/Long Pants/Shirt/Boots/Gloves/Hat
-Red Rag/Bandana to use as a kill rag.
-FRS Radio and a Compass.
-Airsoft Gun(s), Ammo, Batteries, Tools to operate and fix your equipment.
-Water/Food to sustain you through the day.
-A bag to carry your equipment, its a little walk into the starting point for the field.

Is there an age limit to play:
We recommend the sport of airsoft for those people 14 years and older. Anyone is allowed to play, but we recommend the younger players come with an older relative or friend until they are comfortable.

Is there a required uniform:
No, most players wear woodland BDUs that are available at many Military Surplus stores. We do have team hats and team patches available for those who are interested.

Do you rent/sell guns/ammo/batteries:
No, currently we do not sell or rent anything at the field. We recommend Army Barracks in Scarborough for all your airsoft supplies.

Do I have to be a member of your team:
We do not require you to be a member of Spartan Assault, but we highly encourage it. We are one of the largest Airsoft teams in Maine and offer our members many benefits including discounts at local and online retailers.

Can I join Spartan Assault:
We welcome all new members, and we also welcome entire teams that want to be a part of Spartan Assault while still controlling their members.

The closest address to the field is 170 Cobbossee Road Monmouth Maine (might be Cobbosseecontee Road on some GPSs and map sites).
