No set rules have been adopted yet. At this time the only thing that is accepted is a grenade that launches BBs or similar. And the kill would be whoever gets hit by the BBs.

I will look into the squadbuster, but MGunner has a very good point about them.

Yes, PLEASE no paintball grenades, they suck! I dont want paint and crud to get all over my gun, and im sure we dont want it all over the field.

Water-soluble my ass! I still got paint from one of those damn things on my pants! Its been through the washer about 10 times since then and its still there. NO PAINTBALL GRENADES, its just to messy, this is airsoft, not paintsoft. Paintsoft sounds extremely gay.

I use to play pro paintball. I did both speed ball, and woodland battles. I was concealed in a tower laying out suppressive/sniper fire and someone took out the guy guarding the back of the fort and the guy came along the side of the building and threw one of those tippmann grenades right into my tower which is about 4 feet by 4 feet with a 4 foot wall, when your in a space that small, the paint doesn't have anywhere else to go haha, had pink paint ALL over me. Had to be a friggen pink paint grenade too, I looked like a friggen telatubby. Ruined my BDU and had to buy new pants, jacket and hat.

It has been about 5 years since ive played paintball, so maybe i am remembering incorrectly, but i dont remember ever having a hard time washing my clothes after a game(and yes, i have been hit with paint nades a few times).  I even played in a prom dress once(won $100 for doing so) and the paint came out fine.

I've recently come upon a product called the (Tornado Greade.)
I've seen a few vids and it looks like it works fairly well.
Don't know the cost, I haven't done any reserch on it as of yet.
But from what I've seen, it looks durable and reliable.
And theres not a lot of pieces to get lost. So something like this
might work well for what we're all talking about.

There's my two cents, that's all I can afford at the moment. :D
